so, school soon. I can't say I'm disappointed... I mean, I hate the fact that summer is over, but school will be a nice change from work.

I'd say this has been a good week! Me Jade Kels and some of the guys camped out in Kelsey's backyard Thursday night... all I have to say is that JOON'S HUGE! The next morning we all did a Vancouver trip. It was full of excitement as always. We hit Granville Island, Sci World (or the McDonalds next to it anyway), Yaletown Choices, Robson, China Town, and then watched Just Friends at Marc's house.

actually, I really shouldn't have admitted that last part. My god, it's been ages since I've seen a movie that bad!!

also, we walked past Richards on Richards and from the outside it totally looks like the type of place where people might get shot. But regardless, Kevin and I made our way over there for the Cat Power show on Sunday. (which was incredible, by the way. She is so amazing...)

In other news, I can now (kindof) paralell park, I have a road test booked, and I really want Kyle K's car. It is like, my dream car.

Oh, and I'm still really pissed that I worked all day during Flugtag.

Hmm...

so lots doin' lately.

Got back from Tofino about a week ago, which was incredibly incredible (for lack of better adjectives...) I learned how to surf (will post pictures later ) annnd I found a cool surf/record store and bought two records. (Sadly, I already owned both on CD... Interpol's "turn on the bright lights" and The Replacements' "Tim")

Highlight of the week was definitely fireworks. Some highlights from that were: my melted chocolate (creeped out Sydney Kelsey and Kyra!), 20 piece mcnuggets with Shane, listening to Grandmaser Flash and the Roots with William (and then, unadvisedly taking the train to waterfront), holding hands and running down... some street?, and, of course, seeing Liz, Kriselda and Jaq.

also, aside from having to work on my bday, my amazing friends came and got me an extra long break and we had a tailgate party in the Choices parking lot. That was pretty sweet.

oh! and last bit of good news, I now own a total of 4 sufjan stevens cd's (I got 2 more today!!!!) AND i got Eazy-E for $5!!!!!! It came with a fold out poster... how cool is that???

So, I'm crazy busy right now.

Yesterday I spent the day cooking, trying to make another shirt, umm reading? Then I had to work again. blaaah.

Today I'l lspend the day packing, cauuuse I'm leaving for Tofino tomorrow! I'm excited about surfing (I've never been before!) and basically just the nice weather in general.

I don't have much else to say, except that me and Sydney had a really good afternoon this week, watching She's the Man!! and a bunch of trashy programs, such as Maury and Jerry Springer (Bridget the Midget anyone??)

sooo I'll be back on Tuesday, just in time for Broken Social Scene!! I'm also damn excited about that.

So, as another crazy week comes to an end, it is getting harder and harder to ignore the fact that we're over a quarter of the way into summer.

So I saw the new Pirates of the Carribbean. I was pretty disappointed. Too many fight scenes, I hate fight scenes. That's part of the reason I can only watch Star Wars once a year (at most).

In other exciting news, me, Jade and Kelsey bussed it to White Rock to shop earlier in the week. It took sooo long! Like over an hour each way. But the bus from the airport to white rock was really nice and had comfy seats, so that was a bonus. But on the way back, there were a bunch of crazies in the back of the bus on their way to the Slayer concert. (For the musically ignorant, Slayer are a kind of hardcore metal-y sucky band). Anyways, the guys were really loud and obnoxious in an entertaining way. They started talking (loudly) about how all the girls at the concert would probably have STD's. Oh, clamydia.

so other than that... I made a t-shirt! and that's about it.

So, its been entirely too long.

maybe cause my life is insane?

my life currently consists of:

eating, music-ing, working, sleeping, chilling, beaching, shopping (in descending order of amount of time spent on each)

to be honest, i have nothing of consequence to write in here. I have had no personal epiphanies lately, or really anything particularly interesting to say.

but somewhere in between all the dullness, i have been having an incredible couple of weeks.

I succumbed to patriotism yesterday and went down to Commercial drive with Kevin and some of his friends to watch the Italy/France game. I actually wore one of my sister's 80000 italy shirts. It was kinda exciting. Unifying in a wierd way. It felt strange to get carried away with something I don't acutally care that much about, but I guess that's the beauty of sports?

And today.... I went CD shopping. If i hadnt totally spent last weeks paycheck, I could have easily blown a couple hundred bucks. But I just bought Nico's "Chelsea Girl" and decided to save the Decemberists and the Ditty Bops til the next time I get paid. That was probably the highlight of my day, as work was good for work, but at the same time, it was still work, and I closed.

so maybe I'll start writing frequently in here again?

except that concerts are good right now (but the weather is not)

school is as blah as usual.

but pinhole photography is unexpectedly exciting.

heyyyy everyone

Man, its been such an insanely long time since I've written anything/left anyone any comments.

So to everyone I rarely see and talk to... here's a general 'hey, hows it going?' I got a new cell phone this xmas... (812-6312) so next time youre bored in math class, text me or something

Since I know your all wondering : P my xmas was good, and my new years was crazy, just like its all supposed to be. The boy-area is also well fulfilled at the moment, if you get what I mean.

My life is completely nuts lately, which is partly my fault for making it that way. I barely have time to sit down and watch Gilmore Girls anymore. I dunno if I mentioned it before, but Im working at Choices now (the grocery/organic food store behind Edmonds skytrain station) so if your in the area... come say hi! I usually work Saturday evenings around 6:30 or so. (But i wont be in this Saturday, as I'll be snowboarding in WHISTLER :D)

so... for you guys that left me comments last time... Im so sorry its taken me 5 bajillion years to acknowledge them. You know how I am (kinda).

KRISELDA: neverending white lights... man! I've heard of them! Its with the guy from alexisonfire right? Would that be Dallas Green... cause he has an album out under the name City and Colour, which you would probably like alot. I got it for my boyfriend :P and I can attest to the fact that its an excellent album. Ooo and Im thinking you've probably maybe heard of She Wants Revenge? If you listen to the Zone, I know you would have... the guys sounds SO MUCH like Interpol, its actually insane. I like "Tear You Apart"

ASTRAAA: are you in ms. ghani's class for social studies? If you are, i kinda feel sorry for you... I mean the whole student elections thing is cool, but you guys have a lot of work to do! dannng. For the record, I think im voting Green. Im very excited. Its so cool that we get to do this. I will also have to look over my (very extensive!) notes from the all-candidates meeting... I wrote down some really important things such as: "Mary Pynenburg-strange poncho". and "Marc Dalton has Stephen Harper hair". No, im not judgemental at all. and yessss we most definitely should hang out more. We'll figure somethin outt.

yo dawgs...

its been sooo long. I honestly have no time anymore, its craz-ay.

so whats new...

this weekend was pretty awesome. I finally had an 'old' friday night, like they used to be all the time but havent been for a while. haha sorry if im not making sense, but everyone knows that no one makes sense when they're reminiscing.

so, friday. I had my gorgeous cam-er-ahh again, filled to the brim with some black and white film. I got one with a zoom lens this time : ) so i could take pictures of strangers without them knowing... haha how sneaky. No, im not a pervert, so dont even start...

we had to walk all'a way to kelsey's house (those who've been there know how freaking far it seems when its freezing outside!) taking some pictures along the way cause the light was so damn nice. We made dinner, chilled, watched 16 candles, and just generally had one of our old skool friday nights.

Saturday was mahvelous too, Kevin and I drove to Crescent Beach, went for a walk, got fish and chips and I took some more pictures. It was really an incredibly beautiful day. Then we had dinner, and I had the closing shift at work, meaning I didnt get home til 11 ish.

Sunday, I had soccer, as per usual, and we won... of course...

I read Keeping the Moon (by sarah dessen) last night. I didnt think it was a superfantastic book (it was pretty good i guess) and I didnt particularly relate to it in any major ways but my god it made me cry like crazy. I dunno, maybe I was in a wierd mood...

OH! man. It was so sucky. I went to process my film during free block today but there was no developer AT ALL so me and kelsey thought maybe we could make some but we couldnt figure out which/how much of the chemicals to use, and I really really didnt want to screw up my film. ARGH now I have to wait 3 or so days (til ms liddicoat is back) before I can even process the film, much less make prints. dag, yo.

heyy guys.

its been a while. Ive been so busy... I havent had time for this foolishness : )

I finally quit at Zellers. And got hired at Choices yesss

what else is new? I dont know. Im hoping theres some good concerts coming up to compensate for the fact that I missed the Metric show due to it being Sold Out.

yesterday I trekked to the mall (by myseelllf) after school to buy a spanish english dictionary. I came home with 3 cds, but no spanish english dictionary.

On the upside, the guy at HMV was cool and liked Nick Drake. On the downside, I ate McDonalds cause I had to eat before Jade's game.

today was such a wierd day. Honestly. I was so tired, and in such a strange mood. Every day this entire week has felt like Friday. I dont even know why. I think Hallowe'en being on Monday plus me working that night really screwed around with my entire week.

Oh and apparently I get much music now. I guess thats cool. Also... I forgot to tape Gilmore Girls this week (well I caught it about half way through) and I was really mad but then I watched the part I taped last night and it turned out to be a re-run anyway. yesss...
